BMW motorcycle makes an offer for a complete system check of
the brake assembly for each owner of a motorcycle with integral ABS
with the dealer. This measure will start in the next weeks and is
naturally free for the customers. It applies world-wide and is limited
up to 30.04.2006.

For the leader BMW motorcycle, Dr. Herbert Diess, is this
service offer a component of internal safety philosophy: "we brought a
brake system on the market, which one can call in the sum of its
characteristics surely the most modern and most efficient motorcycle
brake of the world. Independent tests confirm that. We want to
contribute with the offer of an examination of the brake system to
diminish disconcertion possibly developed at our customers."

During repeated brakings in the ABS range of control it came during
driving safety trainings isolated to the loss of the ABS
Regelfunktion. This malfunctioning is at all only possible during
extremely fast and hard brake lever manipulation in connection with
leaving electrical system tension, as it can occur only in the special
situation driving safety training. In the normal traffic this
condition cannot occur and BMW motorcycle is also none such case
well-known.

Each owner of a BMW of motorcycle with integral ABS receives at
short notice a personal writing down as well as an addition of the
manual. Therein all customers over the rules which can be considered
with driving safety trainings and to the importance of an optimal
maintenance mode of the motorcycle are referred also in detail.
