K1300x
This was sent to me anonymously by someone who works for BMW:
I have some more info on the new models, went through the bikes in more detail:
The bikes will have a 1292cc engine, in what appears to be the same chassis/frame, and the same duolever front end. The end can is slightly different, slightly hexagonal at the very end of it. Same headlight unit, and now with LED rear lights and indicators. All new switchgear, including new indicator switches. The bike will also have a quickshifter as a factory option and a new ESA 2, also as a factory option. Also has a new pillion grabrail.
The R gets similar treatment, a very similar headlight unit, only more recessed into the front of the bike. Very similar tank panels to the existing model, and same options/features as the S.
The GT sees a bit more change, it gets a new vent/panel on the side fairing, to help break up the slabsided nature of the previous model. Its actually a little like the new design on the side of the new 7 Series. Makes the bike look much better though! Again, just slight styling tweaks throughout. They have also made the pillion seat comfort on all bikes, especially the R.
Saw the K1300s yesterday; or at least pictures of (very cloak and dagger); Its very similar to the existing one, with a couple of faring differences. I was told that quick-shifter, LED back-lights, ESA 2, and the new race speedo dashboard (developed and seen on the newly released HP2) will be new options for this bike, along with the other options already on the k1200s. The end-can (exhaust) will be smaller than the existing one, and more triangular in nature, and I saw a sweet aprovic end-can option on it (but I think this will be aftermarket). I'm definitely putting down my deposit on this bike come Monday... Whats nice is that it looked like an improvement to the existing machine, rather than a brand new machine which will obviously be subject to a whole new set of issues. One thing they mentioned is that it'll probably be 175bhp with std can (180 with the aprovic)
Probabilmente il cruscotto sarà silmile a questo (Preso dall'HP2):
