By the way, where exactly in Italy are you planning to move and settle down?
It might sound weird to ask but what we call burocracy (and it can be already troublesome) can turn into a nightmare according to the region you are going to be in.

Starting from insurance fees and ending up to frontline clerks and office efficiency.
Apart from wheather and food, I mean.

A parte le battute ma la cosa ha un fondo di verita' perche' nelle spese deve includere il costo di cambiare il faro o la lente del faro che e' fatta per illuminare il bordo strada e nel caso che importa la moto rischia di accecare chi viene in senso contrario quindi se non lo cambia non gli supera il collaudo alla MTC , e nel caso di BMW Italia cambiare il faro o la lente rischia di farsi male davvero .

As many colleagues already suggested you the best option is to sell it and buy a new one here.
After Brexit the situation is getting more complicated, my only suggestion is to ask to get the help of an expert agency (see as example: https://www.aciroma.com/importazione...terra-extra-ue) or you will get lost in bureaucracy.
