I had the same problem. On my bike, the temperature probe was not installed correctly. From the front of the bike, look down the air inlet tunnel in the right side (clutch side) of the front fairing. You should be able to see the temperature probe sticking up into this tunnel. It is a round black piece of plastic. If you don't see it, you should be able to see the hole where it is supposed to be installed.
I removed the side panels and found it hanging down inside the guts of the bike. It takes just a second to pop it into the hole in the air tunnel. Now it works perfectly.
I had taken my bike to the dealer. They spent about an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working (unsuccessfully) and were planning to order a new sensor.
in pratica...
da davanti la moto guardare il lato destro (lato leva frizione) dentro la presa d'aria della carenatura anteriore, dovreste vedere la sonda di temperatura che sbuca, è un pezzo di plastica nera..... ecc...ecc....
credo che sia una cosa così
e che sia la stessa usata anche sulle auto bmw
