Hi Everyone,

Responding to the persuasion of others, I have joined enthusiastically with them in creating The Ted Simon Foundation.
When the idea was first proposed I was both amused and abashed, but I see that it could serve a really useful and creative purpose. Substantial numbers of smart, brave and curious people go out into the world on adventures of one kind or another and I firmly believe that if their experiences and observations can be made accessible to a larger public it can only help to defuse tensions and improve cross-cultural understanding.
Some, like myself, already have the means to produce publishable work. Others return with raw material, notes, pictures, whatever, and need help to produce something of value.
The purpose of my Foundation is to provide that help to deserving applicants. I hope you will look over our website and, if you are sympathetic to my aims, I hope you will subscribe to our emails and possible help in some way in the future.
