La lettera è tradotta...la lista è pronta, mail di BMW Italia e ci sono varie foto a corredo
Non ho trovato la PEC di Monaco e non so, da quanto leggo in giro se sono comunque interoperabili tra loro...
Dear Joerg,
As per our message conversations had on Twitter (#BMWgsBURNS) and Facebook, and, according to Your request, here below attached you can find a List of Nicknames, with the relevant VIN nbrs in order to allow you to identyfing the GS/GSA models of the Users List.
This List has been put together by following 9 different threads and more than 4500 posts since 2014 on “Quellidelica”, the biggest Italian forum for BMW motorbike products. (I specify that this is a personal initiative of some members that does not involve the forum and its ownership).
During this process, we have decided to create this List that includes all Nicknames of GS/GSA LC users that have been affected by the so called “Strong Heat on the Right Leg” issue. Something like 150 BMW Customers (driver and passenger) has declared that they suffered and suffer about this issue. 64 Users of this List have decided to inform you with their VIN nbrs.
In addition to that, and according to the information collected by us, this issue affect US, UK and Spain Users, just to name few, where on their respective forum you can get info about it.
We would like to point out that, no precise answer, verbale or written, about this issue has come out from your network so far, as far as we know. The only answers have been received by some Users from Italian BMW Motorrad Customer Care here attached.
We have been also pleased to know, as per your message, that the information about this issue has been forwarded to the relevant department by Saturday 8th of july.
We would like also to inform you that various attempt have been made here, as well as in US and Spain in order to:
1) Understand where this issue is comung from. Not identified clearly (see pt.3 as well).
2) To solve the issue with “amateur” solution like spoiler, cover, flaps and similar but, without coming to a proper solution.
3) Making comparative field test, where has been discovered that not all the bikes have the issue.
All of these, has required quite a massive amount of time, during years, on discussing on heat, physics, thermodynamics, fluidodynamics, materials, engines, exhaust systems, tests and so on.
At the end, the issue is still here since 2014 and has to be considered unacceptable for a product that costs over 22k€. We point out as well, that in some cases the bike results not usable both for the driver and the passenger.
That’s why we get in touch with you on Twitter and Facebook all together.
Therefore, we would like to have a reply from BMW Motorrad Germany, in order to know the actions you can deliver to solve an issue so serious that is probably present worldwide.
We’re sure to obtain reliable and serious answers from BMW and, while waiting for your reply, we confirm you to be at your full disposal for any details, action, field test, meeting or whatsover thing you may consider necessary to solve this issue.
Giorgio Nucci in name and on behalf of the attached List of Users
