E' interessante il collegamento con i colpi che prende il cambio quando si mette in prima.

We encountered a terrible higher frequency knocking noise from the engine. Turns out the oil pump chain tensioner failed. We were lucky the chain didn't fall off the sprockets and destroy the engine. Damn lucky!

The end conclusion is that your 1st gear squeal is a failing/loosening oil pump chain tensioner. Please have your oil pump chain tension checked if you hear this noise. DO IT BEFORE YOUR MFG WARRANTY EXPIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BMW has an upgraded oil pump chain drive sprocket, but refuses to issue a recall, or even extend the warranty period for this issue. Another BMW support failure.

..And, that $800 extended warranty won't cover this either. Aren't you happy you bought that useless item?

This (MY) motorcycle is a piece of crap, and BMW won't stand behing this motorcycle. If you own one of these piles of crap...be very afraid and force your dealer to actually solve your problems.

"Couldn't replicate problem" is not an answer! Use your BMW N.A. contact information issued at time of purchase.

Nearly $1000 to repair this pile of shyte, again... and that doesn't count the 3 COIL PACKS THAT FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $360 just for parts.

Why o' Why would you ever purchase this pile of crap motorcycle from a manufacturer that doesn't care if their product fails, kills you, or runs forever.
