DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
The reverse gear control unit seal could allow moisture to enter the unit and, over time, lead to internal corrosion and a loss of the reverse function.
SAFETY RISK
This could also cause overheating and, in rare cases, could increase the risk of a thermal event or fire.
DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR
As an interim remedy, the reverse gear control unit will be disconnected from the motorcycle's electrical system. The final remedy is currently under development.
