Questa la comunicazione da parte di Sena USA, siamo ancora in alto mare.
Hello Mr Fabrizio,
thank you for your reply.
My name is Norbert, I am allowing myself to get back to you since my colleague Adrià is unfortunately out of office at the moment.
You are right, cheaper headsets don't have that issue in combination with the BMW TFT screen.
Even using "older" SENA devices we aren't facing this ticking background sound.
We've been testing a lot using a BMW TFT screen and apparently this sound only concerns headsets offering multiple Bluetooth microchips to be able to offer you Audio Multitasking, like to 20S, the 20S EVO and the SRL and SRL2 which you are using yourself.
The sound disappears immediately listening to music with the BMW Connectivity System, which seem to be using the same channel which might be sending the disturbing ticking sounds to our headsets.
Yes, since SENA is partially manufacturing the original BMW Communication system "Fit-For-All", the BMW development team and ours are working together, which we hope will be leading to a solution as soon as possible.
Apparently BMW just released the latest firmware version 021_004_040 for the TFT screen, which will be tested soon, but at the moment we don't really know yet how this issue can be solved and if an update of our devices, the motorcycles or both will be necessary to stop these sounds from appearing.
I am sorry, but unfortunately all we can do is ask your for a bit more patience please.
Thank you and best regards.
