As of now, the BMW Motorrad accessory program includes an attractive alternative to the original serial production silencers. In collaboration with the well-known manufacturers Akrapovic and Laser, BMW Motorrad has developed exclusive slip-on silencers. These are real lightweights: weighing 2.2 kg to 3.5 kg they provide a weight reduction of up to 4 kg as compared to the serial production silencers. Laser sports silencers were successfully used in the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup and PowerCup. In the off-road field, the current
BMW Motorrad HP2 Enduro factory machines use the brand Akrapovic. Now the sporty touch is available for the road too – directly from BMW dealerships.

Currently, sports silencers of the brand Akrapovic are available for the flat twin models BMW R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure and HP2 Enduro from BMW dealerships. The range is being successfully extended for the models BMW
F 800 S/ST and R 1200 S. For the in-line 4-cylinder models BMW K 1200 S and K 1200 R, sports silencers of the brand Laser are included in the program. Further variations are to be added.

All silencers are homologised according to ECE norms and are supplied with EU design certification. The variations for in-line 2-cylinder and in-line 4-cylinder models have a catalytic converter (in the flat twin models this is in the front silencer.) The sports silencers are ideally adapted to each BMW Motorrad model. Power and torque remain at serial production level.

The materials used speak for themselves: the silencers are made entirely of light titanium, partially combined with high-quality steel. Depending on the model, the mount and panels are made of carbon or steel. Visually speaking, the sports silencers are distinguished from the regular accessory silencers of the two manufacturers among other things by means of a logo which has been exclusively modified for BMW. The latter is discreetly embossed or lasered into the surface of the silencer.
Another advantage: the sports silencers have the same comprehensive warranty as BMW Motorrad original parts. The customer also avoids warranty risks for his motorcycle. In terms of price, the silencers are at the same level as accessory retail. For the models R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure and HP2 the price is €685 incl. 16% VAT.

Due to the slip-on system, all silencers can be mounted without complex conversion work: they fit onto the standard manifold. The connection is made by means of a connecting tube made of titanium. BMW Motorrad provides detailed instructions.

The current and future product range of the new sports silencers will be presented to the public for the first time in its entirety from July 7th – 9th at the BMW Motorrad Biker Meeting in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

qualche giorno fa si scriveva del fatto che se anche cambi una vitarella e la metti after market la garanzia si invalida...

ora che hanno trovato il modo di sfilarci altri quattrini, scommetto che la garanzia sulla moto resta valida....

...un mese fa ho chiesto al conce se c'erano problemi sulla garanzia a mettere un silenziatore Laser; mi e' stato detto che se avessi aspettato per poco sarebbero arrivati i laser 'marchiati' BMW per cui poi a tutti gli effetti viene ad essere un pezzo 'originale BMW'; gliel'ho subito ordinato ma al momento ancora niente.
Mi ha detto che e' questione di giorni.
Mi hanno anche detto (verifico il prossimo weekend) che a Garmish:
presentano la R1200R
presentano gli scarichi Laser-BMW
presentano tutta una serie di componenti in carbonio BMW per la serie K1200R/S

Se so' rose....

Ma se ricordi bene qualche settimana fa qualcuno del forum lamentò il fatto che un'officina BMW non riconosceva la garanzia della moto perchè era stato montato un accessorio after market che fra l'altro non c'entrava un caxxo col danno.....

mi piacerebbe pero' sapere cosa succede alla garanzia di un 999 se uno monta uno scarico di un altra marca
no perche' bmw con sta storia sta' esagerando
non ho nulla in contrario se una casa decide di mettere a listino dei componenti nuovi, visto che il mercato e' fiorente, poi sta ull'utente decidere cosa montare e quanto spendere
purtroppo loro il cliente se lo prendono con la forza: o compri il mio terminale o stai senza garanzia; ovviamente il mio terminale costa uno stipendio
