RIP Mark Purslow
Purtroppo nella sessione di qualifica di ieri sera ha perso la vita in seguito ad un incidente Marl Purslow, 29 anni, alla sua seconda esperienza al TT. Caduto nel tratto di Barregarrow, Mark è deceduto poco dopo il trasporto in ospedale. Il comunicato The Isle of Man TT Races are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mark Purslow following an incident in this evening’s qualifying session for the 2022 Isle of Man TT Races. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Mark’s family, loved ones, and friends. 2022 was Mark’s second appearance at the Isle of Man TT Races, having previously contested the Supersport and Lightweight races in 2017. He had graduated from the Manx Grand Prix where he had won the 2015 Lightweight Race on his debut, and he had also competed at the Classic TT securing a best finish of 14th in the 2019 Junior Classic TT. Mark grew up around racing and was inspired by his father’s love of the sport. He typified the spirit of the privateer TT racer, preparing his own machinery with the support of friends and family. Road racing was his passion – competing in Northern Ireland and Europe in the International Road Racing Championship – but becoming a TT racer was a life’s ambition that represented the ultimate personal challenge. Michael Dunlop non correràla Superbike con Ducati
Rettifico quanto comunicato in precedenza, divorzio tra Michael Dunlop e Ducati PBM Racing. Per Michael sicura la partecipazione alla Supersport con la Yamaha R6 ed alla Superstock con la CBR 1000 RR-R, moto entrambe di sua proprietà. Per la Superbike potrebbe invece tornare sulla BMW., o in alternativa utilizzare la CBR Superstock anche nella categoria superiore. Alla base della decisione, i pochissimi test effettuati ed una competitività della moto tutta da verificare. |

Moto perfetta ma merito al team che dopo i problemi incontrati nei primi turni di prove ha sostituito tutta l'elettronica, dalla centralina al cablaggio al dashboard. Poi la gestione in gara, con lo 'short shifting' in alcuni settori per ridurre i consumi ed ottimizzare i tempi del pit stop.
