Ho scaricato e installato l'ultimo aggiornamento (build 3 della versione 8.00). Non cambia nulla, ma solo dà maggiori informazioni sulla API Key Google, che è quella che sulle prime sembra si debba pagare (ma non è così).
Copio e incollo le caratteristiche degli ultimi 3 aggiornamenti. Nel build 1 è ben spiegata la faccenda della API Key per usare google maps.
E' tutto in inglese, e non ho voglia di tradurlo.

Version 8.00 (build 3):

No new features, but again we have added some information to the FAQs, mainly about using the Google API Key.
And we have also added some information about it to the program itself, because most asked questions are about generating and setting the Google API Key.

Version 8.00 (build 2):

On creating new waypoints, we have changed the default from 'using popups' to 'hiding popups'. Of course it is still possible to enter your own preference, by clicking the button to the left side of the map.
Another default setting has changed: the small overview map in the lower right corner is now hidden by default.
This is done, because the overview map causes Tyre to slow down on some computers. We have not found the reason for this behavior yet.

Version 8.00 (build 1):

This is a major update: important changes!
Tyre has returned to its former Freeware status.
We worked on a commercial base for a few years. But now we have decided to remove the commercial part. It also means that the collaboration with 'TyreToTravel' has ended and that we only use the name 'Tyre'.
For many users, this will work out well, because it also means that features that were previously only available in the paid versions of Tyre, are now available to everyone. For free!
This also means that is no longer necessary to register your copy of Tyre. Therefore the 'register' options have been removed from the program.
Another important change is the 'engine': we tried to work with GraphHopper for a year for calculating and displaying routes. Unfortunately, that continued to cause problems in all sorts of ways.
Therefore we have returned to the use of Google Maps for the map and for the routes.
It does mean that every user must request an 'API key' from Google. That may seem difficult: because how do you do that? And: what does it cost?
1. Requesting a key is very easy: you just have to go through a few steps only once. If you need help, Tyre can assist you here.
2. And the costs? It seems as if you have to pay, but that is not the reality. You only start paying if you use the Google 'route engine' more than 25,000 times a day. It hard to imagine that any user of Tyre will even come close to that number!

Allora hanno solo cambiato nome ? In efetti come tyre è ancora disponibile.
Quindi Tyreto Travel chiude e rimane Tyre .

ciao.. mi spoeghi come fai....io dopo aver usato API di google..apro TYRE ed ottengo solo tratti diritti che non posso/so gestire..

Io apro direttamente Tyre su PC e disegno l'itinerario. Poiché avevo una vecchia chiave Google, l'ho inserita. Ed uso la mappa Google.

Io ho dovuto per forza sggiornarlo.
Lo ho su due pc.
Ora la mappa si vede moooolto meglio, molto più definita e chiara. Fico.
P.s. mi é arrivata la fattura di gugol di euro 0

Anch'io ho una vecchia chiave gratuita che avevo preso tempo fa proprio da tyre..., sono andato a vedere nella pagina specifica ed è ancora attiva https://console.cloud.google.com

A me funziona perfettamente. Aggiornate alla versione 8.0.

ok..API è la chiave google.....anche io aproTYRE...ma riesco solo (adesso) a tracciare linee rette..

Ero sicuro di avere una chiave attiva ma non sapevo come recuperarla; grazie a al link indicato da bainzu al #27 l'ho trovata e ora Tyre 8.00 funziona (senza righe dritte che uniscono i punti...).

A me continua a funzionare regolarmente. Utilizzato anche per le ferie.

tra l'altro chiuso e riaperto, con la vecchia API comunque non mi fa vedere bene la mappa di Google. Mi sa che dovro' recuperare una nuova key

Questa mattina ho provato a scaricare di nuovo TYRE e nell'eseguibile (.exe) installa la versione vecchia 7.0 :confused: oltretutto da la possibilità di installare la versione a 32Bit o 64BIt cosa che se non ricordo male prima non succedeva..

per chi si accontenta di usare le mappe free tipo Open Street Map o altre funziona ovviamente non funziona più con le mappe Google.

All'avvio ti chiede che è disponibile un aggiornamento (8.0) ma me ne guardo bene fare l'aggiornamento perchè ti chiede la famosa chiave API di google.
Bah... Misteri...qualcuno ha provato?

Bello che vengano evidenziati i passi alpini.

L'unico problema che ho riscontrato è che il tasto cerca ( mi ricorda qualcosa :rolleyes: ) non funziona.
