Questo diceva bmw all'estero...praticamente sconsigliavano di fare la modifica al tendicatena a moto con più di 12000miglia,circa 20000km. Qui nel forum è capitato che chi ha toccato qualcosa della distribuzione senza sostituirla totalmente,abbia rotto...non tutti,alcuni.

Important Note:
In order to prevent the timing chain from slipping on the cogs when the engine is started for the first time, the timing-chain tensioner has to be filled with engine oil prior to the installation. When pouring in the oil, repeatedly compress the chain tensioner by hand. After installation, start the engine 3 times and allow it to idle briefly without blipping the throttle (this fills the oil reservoir).
It is strongly recommended that this repair NOT be performed on motorcycles with greater than 12,000 miles.
Normal wear experienced on these motorcycles can result in a less than effective repair.
