You should be aware that some of these Software updates will reconed Mandatory, some not. Will try to get that going as well.
But be aware, and this is Important : BMW says that the ECU could maximum be updated thirteen - 13 - times, then the internal memory will be full. ( and to further make a new update, you will have to get yourself a brand new ECU)

Software Versions for The K1200S's ECU:

Version 3.00 : This is the basic version on your bike upon purchase.

Version 4.01: NOT mandatory; This version is said to get your RPM in a better shape in lower values. Actually only recommended for the throttleboby problem.

N E W : Version 5.0:
With the development of the new Engine-software, BMW seems really to get hold of 'the jerk' in low revolutions! First test-trips with the 2006 model show a firm throttle acceptance from 1,500 rpm! This new Software/Engine-setup will be incorporated in all new bikes buildt after third quarter 2005. The BMW-Workshops were informed there would be produced an update CD with this software for the dealers PCs(august 19,2005). The CD's should arrive beginning next week at the dealers! The version number is 5.0 and the update will take 'a tight hour'.

To further give you a clue; I have told you all that you could 'connect' your bike to your dealers PC to get a clue of the Software Version you have installed on your bike. That is still correct, but The Version 5.0, is not presented as "Version 5.0" ... however as : K024-05-11-500. (The 'old-one' as : K024-05-02-510.) ..as a pre-answer and I think this question will rise, "How could see which Version is in My Bike?? "... well take a trip to that Dealer of yours...only he with his Computer can check this out.

Lo sò, i concessionari e BMW Italia erano chiusi ad Agosto, proprio dopo avere letto quel post ho chiamato il conce che ancora non ne sapeva nulla, si è sentito con il responsabile tecnico e questa è la risposta.

Ma come???? La moto non si collega tramite bluetooth alla rete della casa madre e lo scarica in automatico scalando anche una piccola domazione dal vostro cc??? :lol: :lol: :lol:

basta un collegamento via USB dal PC.... uno va su internet e compra l'aggiornamento...
