Subaru to debut world's first horizontally-opposed turbo diesel engine at Geneva
Subaru has announced it will unveil the world’s first horizontally-opposed turbo-diesel engine at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2007. It said it will be displaying an entire drivetrain on its stand at the show.
The company's ‘boxer’ engines, which are more compact than in-line units, provide a lower center of gravity. Subaru says this reduces body roll and also enhances handling precision.
The Subaru ‘boxer’ turbo-diesel engine is due for its first vehicle application early next year.
Interessante... chissà se col diesel Subaru ce la farà ad uscire dalla voce "Altre case" nel day by day dell'immatricolato...
